A climbing ride to Selva Alegre and Quichinche.

It was a slow clearing sky this morning when I headed out with Todd J. and his son Flynn. Originally planning a ride to Urququi but due to a nasty sky northwards, we decide to head through Quiroga to Otavalo and up to Selva Alegre. After the return descent, we climbed back up to Quichinche to show the Se-260 Caravelle jet to Flynn. We headed down into and through Otavalo stopping for lunch at my favourite chicken spot, Pollo Tulcan, and had an excellent lunch before humping it back to Cotacachi via La Calera. The police and army were conducting vehicle and people searches in 2 different locations creating some traffic jams, but we were waived through and continued on our way. The weather held and we had an excellent ride together.👍🚲🚲🚲

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
