Almost missed another day of riding, life can take a major toll on your riding there's nothing you can do about it other than go with the flow. My sister and I had to take my Mother to hospital emergency, it was a full house! After waiting for nearly 4 hours before she was taken in to be treated, things started to happen, it took another 4 hours before they finally admitted her by which they got her some what stable. The emergency male nurse that was treating her was very good. The diagnosis was she had an intestinal blockage and infection caused by blockage. They gave her some pain meds to ease the pain due blockage and other meds that she had missed for the day. Before, we were able to get back the this morning they had to take her in for life saving emergency surgery that lasted 4.5 hours, post surgery she had another emergency bout that nurses, my brother and sister had to assist in gettingbher heart back working and clearing her mouth and throat from the vomit that was coming up! Finally, they got her stable had to replace the stomach tube that was clogged. She is doing better now but still in a lot of pain from the intense surgery. My poor Mother has been thru so much these past several years! Hopefully, this will solve a major problem that had been brewing for a few years that was causing issues, we and her doctors thought was something else.
Well, the rain finally stopped long enough for me to dart out to get a ride in, I initially wanted to do some High wattage intervals, decided to ride the route that I wanted to do the interval on. While riding the route I decided to do an easier version to see if my idea was practical... it wasn't. I wasn't ready for the effort I wanted so I need to modify it so I can do a reduce version which will get me to the full version later. Just after the 1/2 way point my main light fell off the bike. So I stopped trying to get it back on. Kind of got it mounted but that only lasted a 1.5 miles so I just removed it and the battery to the other light died, so I turned around to a short cut back home, I plugged the light into the other battery. That battery was also low but I made it home just as the battery died. I had charged the battery for my last ride on the 1st and sat under cover outside until this ride so the batteries must have discharged some, it would normally done 2-3 rides before draining all the way down. It was very damp and light sprinkling the entire ride, but it was a nice ride all the same, bringing another adventure ride to an end. I am looking forward the the next adventure... be safe out there and enjoy your ride!
