10446 mi on 5.9 so I cleaned & lubed chain today.

-Bill P gave me 1/2 his treat at the coffee shop.
-On return trip Westbound on river trail, I peeled off at 1st from group and went solo to Trek to discuss bike situation w Barak.
-He was in! He ordered correct stem for my 5.9 and I agreed to pull the Brooks saddle and put on the Montrose Elite from my Mt Bike so next week they can set my 5.9 to the exact specs of yesterday's fit at Trek.
-Then we discussed the long wait issues for Project 1 (60days) and long waits for 9150 (March?). I told Barak that I nearly bought a Roubaix w E-Tap but was told there was a "lever problem" and now those bike would not be available until April. Barak got on the web and found no lever problem, no recall AND, MORE IMPORTANTLY, he found 5 stock Domane SLR9's w E-Tap in their warehouse. They can be shipped out and here in about a week. YIKES!!! Great news. I love eTap and it's shift pattern. I love that it is the first wireless electronic shifter on the market and I love that it is lighter than Dura Ace. AND, I still get the new Domane SLR frame with its great improvments, and the Aeolus 3 carbon wheels.
-When I got home I told Sharon and she agreed with me that I should just get it NOW and end this long search. So I called Barak and cemented the deal. He ordered it about an hour ago. It turns out that they are putting me on a 50cm frame based on my fit yesterday. The bike will be in the 14 lbs range.
-The price is high $10,999 but he took $500 off. He is still adding the Stages ($650 retail, $550 my price) and the Fit (150 reg, $100 for me)
