Decided to do a Pioneer Metric Century preview for my annual birthday ride. The first 17 miles into Molalla was a nice warm-up. However, got off course at Sawtell Rd and Herman Rd. Went the wrong way on Herman Rd and eventually ended up on Adams Cemetery Rd, which comes out on Feyrer Park Rd. Reversed course and got back on Sawtell and continued the long climb on Sawtell to the fire station rest stop. There was still 2.8 miles of mostly climbing to the summit at Maple Grove Rd. The next section was long descents, a few long rollers and another descent into Scott's Mills (mile 38). The next 15 miles were flat, but with a headwind or crosswind for most of it. Final stop was Elliot Prairie church and school (mile 52). The final stretch was on Meridian Rd, past the 91 School, on Zimmerman Rd, then to Oglesby Rd, Bolland Rd, Lone Elder store, then a left back into Canby. The final 1.5 miles was on Mulino Rd and back to the start.
