The weather was great today, nice and cool. Short sleeves and shorts. I didn't feel that great today, I felt average, maybe a tad more. My body felt a little heavy from the get go. So, I decided to do moderate tempo most of the way. With a few digs on Banducci and over the top of SS and Cummings Valley Road. The wind was from the north when I left, but it wasn't entirely on my side when I was on the return trip. It seemed to be turbulent on some parts, so it didn't seem like I was getting the full benefit from the tailwind. Ailments, only mild soreness in my back and a hint of soreness in my right calf which lasted 20 or 30 seconds. I was stretching every so often, so that helped in both regards. My concentration was right on, as was my balance. My right hand has been sore for more than a week, but I think it's getting better. Gear worked perfectly, no complaints there. No creeks from the bike, nice, smooth and silent. I love that feeling. I've been thinking about doing the Caliente ride, but I first need to see if the General Store is still open for business. I anticipate that I will have to refill there, where otherwise I may bonk. In terms of fitness I'm close to being back where I was late last year. I'm feeling good, mind and body.
