Twenty Loiterers gathered in Uxbridge this Sunday morning with nine opting for the long ride led by Bernie G and twelve on the short ride led by Lawrie.
Lawrie led the way down through North Hillingdon, across Pole Hill Open Space to elevenses at The Café Estrela do Norte, Hayes a friendly Portuguese café on Kingshill Avenue, Hayes. Bernie and Ivy were to meet us here but were delayed by a puncture so we loitered a little longer.
We left the Family Jenkins comfortably ensconced in the café and we set off up towards Hayes Town, through the Minet Estate, along the Parkway Cycle Path and down to the canal towpath. Here Jim left us to continue towards Southall, leaving the canal at Western Road and making our way to and across Southall Green Park. We the followed quiet roads North Hyde to Norwood Green and on through Osterley Park. Leaving the park and crossing the Great West Road lawrie led is through Isleworth to lunch at the London Apprentice located alongside the Thames at Old Isleworth. Nine of us enjoyed lunch on a reserved table set along a window overlooking the river.
After lunch Robin set off home and we set off through Syon Park, where Bernie and Ivy left us, back along the London Road to Wood Lane then Osterley Lane to Norwood Green. From here we were led through Heston Park and on to Cranford Park and Harlington around Pinkwell to tea at a busy White House PH in Stockley Park. Leaving the White House PH Lawrie led us through Stockley Park and the group dispersed homeward bound.
