Grand Tour is a double century where you pick your level of crazy! There's a highland or lowland double, either can be done on Sat or Sunday (this year June 24-25). But to add the crazy factor, you can do doubles both days, for double - double credit. OR, you can veer off on mile 144 and make it a triple century. I tested the veer-off route today. You have 24 hours to finish the triple century for credit. I only did 200 miles today. But the final crazy is: do the 300, follow it with one more century that night or next morning, with a 36 hour time limit total for the Quad century, which is more prestigious than the double double. This is all made possible since elevation accumulated is not too high. it's 6000 ft for each double, total 12,000 ft. or the triple and quad add about 3500 ft each so there's 400 miles with 13,000 ft of climbing. compared to other doubles which have 13,000 in just their 200 miles!
