Begin ride from the trailhead under the Bridge of the Gods. The bike path, about 7 miles, has several rough areas. Some of those are in shade and difficult to see. The ride transitions to Frontage Rd at the Warrendale exit off I-84. Continue on Frontage Rd to the Historic Highway (mile 9). There is an E-bike rental outfit just before the Historic Highway. The route continues on the Historic Highway to Bridal Veil (mile 17.2). Plenty of traffic, even during the morning. Return the same way, but continue through Cascade Locks to Forest Lane (mile 35.2). Ride Forest Lane to the intersection with Frontage Rd. Take Frontage Rd back through town. The climbing is deceiving. There are several reasonably short climbs, but most of the climbing is at 7% or less.
