Begin from Canby UM Church. Ride Arndt Rd across Highway 551 to Boone's Ferry Rd NE. Turn left onto Boone's Ferry and continue to the 4-way intersection at Highway 551 and Ehlen Rd. Cross Ehlen Rd to remain on Boone's Ferry Rd. Stay straight at the intersection of Donald Rd. Take Donald Rd into Donald then continuing to Yergen Rd. Go left onto Yergen, which becomes McKay Rd at Case Rd. At the Highway 219 junction, go right toward Newberg. After about 2/3 mile, turn right onto Champoeg Rd. The route continues on Champoeg Rd, past the park, to Butteville Rd. Started picking up headwind at Highway 219. Go left onto Butteville Rd, riding past the store to the boat launch. Usually, this route makes a sharp right onto Boone's Ferry Rd NE. Instead, opted to cross I-5 to Airport Rd. This is the Pioneer Ride route. Finish via Knights Bridge, Birch St. and a loop around the Dahlia fields.
