D'Emonda. Mostly clouds all ride and sometimes very windy from the WNW. This was the transfer day up to Eagle River from Rhinelander, we dropped my car off last night so we'd have transportation around Eagle River. Some gorgeous roads through the Lakes area of the Headwaters Wilderness, winding through pine forests and lakes, saw one deer, a small faun. Lots of nice rollers and we had a long Eastern section on Hwy A that was mostly flat and with a great tailwind, so some good speed work for a change. Only one rest stop at 15 miles so we did a solid ride up to the edge of town in Eagle River, then stopped for lunch as it was too early to check in at the hotel. Lunch took close to two hours - the usual staff shortages. The hotel seems nice and they have both an indoor pool and a hot tub. We're having a group dinner tonight with a local chef. as most restaurants are closed on Monday and Tuesday (and sometimes Wednesday).
