Ride starts from Ackerman School in Canby. The first 10 miles covers Mulino Rd, then south on Highway 213 for 1.25 miles and then left onto Union Mills Road. Highway 213 southbound is technically closed at Union Mills. Ride east on Union Mills to the turn for Windy City Rd. Go left onto Windy City. There is a 0.70 mile flat stretch after a short climb. Then, the real climbing begins: a 1.35 mile climb at 9-11% grade (gain 550 feet). After a nice downhill, there is another climb to the ultimate summit just before Clarke's Elementary School (mile 14.2). Cross Beavercreek Road, which becomes Unger Rd. This is a 3.6 mile stretch of ups and downs. The "ups" are mostly 8-10% grades. Unger Rd goes by the Horning Seed Orchard. Turn right onto Bauer Rd. After a mile of flat or slightly uphill, there is a nice descent. This section goes through the 2020 Unger Road Fire. Bauer Rd comes out at Highway 211. There is construction just north of the intersection and another work zone just after the intersection of Short Fellows Road. Continue on to the Meadowbrook store (mile 25.6). Go left at the 4-way stop to stay on 211. Continue to Vaughn Road, just before entering Molalla. Go right on Vaughn and ride to N. Molalla Ave. Turn left onto N. Molalla Ave. and continue into town, then turn right onto Toliver Rd. This is where the "alternate" label originates. Instead of riding Toliver, crossing 213 and continuing on Toliver, construction has closed Toliver near Meadow Drive. Ended up following the bike detour route on Meadow Drive to 213. Turn right (north) onto 213 and ride to Barnards Rd. Turn left onto Barnards and continue to Elisha Rd. Go right on Elisha and ride to Macksburg Rd. Go left on Macksburg. Finish via Harms Rd, Kraxberger Rd, Canby-Marquam Highway past Lone Elder store back into Canby.
