Follow the Winding Road

Another ride on the Portland Velo Follow the Winding Road route. Fantastic morning conditions. Little to no wind and comfortable temperature. Need to exercise caution on Helvetia Road. No shoulder, but limited traffic past Helvetia Tavern. Rest stop at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (mile 19.1). Another option is to stop in Banks. Nice country roads from Stafford Road off HIghway 6 to NW Kemper Road (mile 32.1). More traffic in Verboort and NW Cornelius-Schifflein Rd. Need to be extra careful making the left turn at 59th off Evergreen Parkway.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
