2023 Tri-City Cycling Invitational, 100 km

Tri-City Cycling did such an awesome job hosting this event last year, I just had to do it again! Glad to have Jacqueline Ciampi join me this time, and to be grouped with George Dabic again.

It was a grueling climb up to the Westwood Plateau, especially in the heat, but I kept telling myself that it would be less suffering overall to get it over with quickly.

Just before the end, on Knowles St in Port Moody, an oncoming SUV turned left in front of me. We both stopped, just 30 cm away from making contact.

This was an all-out effort for me. After the lunch burger and beer, I was too forswunk to do much more than soft-pedaling.

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
