Another hot day and more climbs! Again Mike and I start together and he drops me on a climb and I don't see him until I get to the hotel that night and he is sleeping. Such gorgeous countryside of farm fields and small villages. The ag fields reminded me of southern WI. As usual, there were many spectators and offers of water! Such kindness is amazing. Of course the big highlight has to be Villaines-la-Juhel control at mile 147.47 and the party chute! So many spectators! All cheering us on! So many bicycles. See the pics Crepes , bee sting, and great descents were also part of this day as described in pics. One of the highlights of this part was mile 153 when the cue "Nice descent ahead" appeared! The descent was nice, yes, but I paid for it on the final climb of the day, up to Mortagne! That climb kept going and going.
