Fuel EX 9.8. Cloudy, pretty cool - mid 70's but very humid, WNW winds @ 10 - 12 mph but not much of a factor in the woods. First time riding at Cam Rock and I did it solo using Trailforks to navigate the trails. Most of the trails are one direction but a few of the Northern ones are two way. Overall a pretty hard ride, lots of punchy climbing. Most of the Green trails skew towards Blue and most of the Blue trails skew Green. The exceptions are: 1. IMBA Influence / Veritas: While not easy, definitely leaning green; 2. Raspberry Fields Forever - marked as Blue but definitely Green; 3. Turn it Up: Definitely marked accurate as a Blue trail, some of the uphill sections are a total bitch with plenty of turns, rocks and roots; 4. Stone Fly - pretty hard Blue uphill section which flows into Woodchuck which is totally Green; 5. Corsksrew: Probably the hardest section I rode, all Blue with some rooty and rocky climbs and descents; 6. Rattlesnake: pretty technical mostly downhill to end the ride at Parking area #3. The Diamond and Double Diamond sections are way above my pay grade. I did great overall, only put my foot down once or twice on some hairy uphill sections. I did some connector trails and the double track section twice to get in some fitness miles. I didn't break any speed records as expected on my first time riding there and considering the maps are for shit - thank god Trailforks is pretty accurate. I drove up to Cambridge afterwards and had lunch/rehydration at the Keystone Grill - some excellent BBQ done local with some great sauces. This is a definite do-over now that I have the lay of the land. Beautiful woods with some hairy technical spots but nothing I couldn't handle. I saw a gaggle of 8 turkeys and one snake but no deer. I did run into several mountain bikers on two way sections and one trail runner on the Corkscrew. She pulled over to let me pass and I swear she almost outran me several times after that.
