Today's weather continues to be ideal. Temperature in the low 70's. Winds were turbulent. My right knee continues to ail. Like the other rides, the soreness subsided after about 15 minutes of riding. About the time I reached the end of OTR, I was feeling better. When I got to Highline, I noticed that the wind had shifted. I was then going into a headwind. My favorable condition. I cruised it to WS keeping the HR below 140's for the most part. The return trip was great. I was able to lift the pace as the miles went by. By the time I reached the last kickers, I decided to head out to Banducci. Such a great day, I didn't want to waste and I was feeling good. Banducci was the usual grind. Near max over the wall and high tempo to the summit. At that point, I started to get a hint of hunger knock. Just a bit, I was debating on feeding, but decided not to and gulped down what I had left of my Cytomax. I made the right choice. I made it home in one piece. Concentration was good. Some coaching needed here and there. Ailments consisted of mild right hand numbness, and slight right knee soreness that got better as the ride progressed. Balance and form felt good, but I still haven't figured out why I have a lean when on my way back on Banducci while on the plateau . Gear is working well, although I need to tune the front derailleur as it is rubbing while in the middle of the gears on the cassette. Other notes, no other cyclists today, to my surprise!
