Superb ride. Great scenery. You start at whitfield and proceed through farmland. Eventually you get onto Rose River Road. There are some moderate climbs before some fun descents. You can access the river to fill up water bottles. Eventually you reach lake buffalo and get onto sealed roads for a few kms. The final section back towards whitfield involves about 3 to 4 kms of fairly steep country through great forest. At times I walk on the steep sections. The decent down into Whitfield is a lot of fun but watch your speed it wouldn't be hard to come off. One of the best rides in the Valley & what could make it hard for some people is the steep section is in the latter section of the ride. I would recommend 40 mm tubeless tyres & at least 2 bottles of water & 4 in summer
