BC Randonneurs 200 km brevet: "Western Flatlander"

Due to piss-poor planning on my part, I missed the mass start and departed 12 minutes late. The chase was on! I passed one pair of riders at Ladner, and another pair near the first control point at Deltaport. Approaching the Golden Ears Bridge, I spotted several riders heading up the corkscrew ramp, which gave me a fresh burst of motivation. Turning onto Lougheed Highway (80 km in), I finally caught up to a group of four that seemed to be moving at a decent pace, so I joined them for the rest of the course.

Lunch (chili, bread, and cookies) was served at the midpoint control point.

Elapsed time (based on a 7 am start) was 8h35m.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
