Route 66: Chicago to Joliet plus "Lost Wallet" miles

Rode with Brad from downtown Chicago start of Route 66 to Joliet. Goal was to ride there on as much of old Route 66 as possible. This included large stretches of North Frontage Road along I-55 and I-53.

Additional "fun" miles from Romeoville to Crest Hill where I noticed my wallet had fallen off. We were only about 5 miles from Joliet but had to double back. Miraculously, I found my wallet where I thought it had fallen out exiting White Fence Farm parking lot.

The perils of I-53 steadily worsened as we entered Joliet but we made it! Visited downtown Joliet for some much needed grub.

This officially completes Route 66 Chicago to Joliet for us. We will never set tire on I-53 again!

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
