Started at the Highland center, got a slow start since I couldn't find the start, but started at about 9:30. It had snowed about 5 inches overnight, and it was still in the high 20s throughout the day. By the time I started, they had just groomed the start on the other side of 302. IT would have been fun and slow to start before the grooming, but I had a nice walk near the trailhead where I saw some tracks of probably a bobcat. The snow was slow, but it was beautiful. Found some really nice trails in Clinton, and Dark Forest. I was zonked after 12 miles and rested at the Nordic center, when I came out to do Crawford Path and Dark Forest and then finally Beech Hill, which is very steep, I bonked. But that is a spectacular part of the Nordic Center that I had never skied before, not sure why. Ran into Steven Hale, Joanna Jerison and her husband David at the Highland Center.
