Rain, rain, not buckets but enough to make riding in the woods (on the rocks) ... questionable. Two of us decided to ride a nearby rail trail just to turn the pedals and get out and get some exercise. Turned out the trail followed the original route of the canal Pennsylvania built between Philly and Pittsburgh, so there was some abandoned infrastructure to ogle. But after 11 miles one way we were ready to turn around. Coulda gone another 6 on the trail but that would have given us a lot more (like, you know, 12 more) and we were just not feeling it. The day was cold, too, (ok maybe just cool) with a brisk wind that always seemed to be in our faces heading to Williamsburg... Very happy to get back to the cabin and be satisfied with the effort.
