Paul Douglas Preserve MTB Ride 10-09-23

Fuel EX 9.8. Mostly sunny, cool and humid with some pretty stiff WNW winds. Nice ride on a gorgeous cool Fall day. Dressed perfect, never cold but I did work up a sweat. Saw only one trail runner, 2 guys on balance boards, a black squirrel and one deer. Trail conditions were perfect hero but with plenty of Fall detritus.

After watching youtube videos of the race last weekend, I got inspired so I decided to push the flats and uphill sections so I wound up with a respectable time. Started with the West side and finished on the East side. As usual, a good amount of punchy climbing.

Stopped for a burger at The Assembly after the ride.
