Joy 23F3 (*4), Charlestown & back via new Somerville path

cool clear blue day with a brisk wind. Fun ride, mostly on bike paths. Similar to a ride we've done in the past, but return on the new Green line ext path is SO nice & better than Beacon St! My phone died on the way home, so end of recording cut short of my house.
From Joy: This ride took us on many different paths & protected bike lanes to see how the Boston-area biking infrastructure is improving: Along the Mystic River Reservation to Assembly Row, on a new river path across from the Encore Casino, along the Riverwalk & Freedom Trail through Charlestown, Under the Zakim Bridge, and back via the new Somerville Community Path.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
