Ride begins from Coolidge McClaine Park in Silverton. The first few miles out of Silverton is on Brush Creek Rd, Hubbard Rd NE and Kaufman Rd NE, generally south to southwest with a little tailwind. At the turn for Sunnyview Rd NE (mile 10) a lengthy section of crosswind or headwind ensued. Some highlights on this part included the Willamette Pie Company, several pumpkin farms (large and small) and the Holy Trinity School (Rambler Dr NE and Howell Prairie Rd). At mile 23, on Waypark Rd NE, finally had a little wind assistance. Waypark Rd NE crosses the Pudding River then intersects with Church Rd NE. Church Rd eventually goes into Mt. Angel. The route crosses Highway 214 and continues through Mt. Angel to the iconic St. Marys Catholic Church. The next highlight is Mt. Angel Abbey, mile 28). The final 10 miles is on Meridian Rd, to Downs Rd, then to the Gallon House Covered Bridge. Finally, the last few miles goes back into Silverton. Just happened to finish as school got out. There was a ton of traffic in Silverton.
