This was the day after St Stephens , a day I usually had to go somewhere which I hated doing . I wanted to have a rest after Xmas . We were both very tired and just wanted an effin rest . This year I had a rest , doing exactly what I wanted to do - nothing . Rest my weary limbs . Anyway off I went with the weather not too good . For the past few weeks it has been cat , absolutely crap . Windy and cold and rainy if not damp and very unsuitable for cycling . For me at least . But today I decided to have a go and the weather forecasters were however were right I am sad to admit . It pissed a few mikes from the end of the canal and I stuck it out as far as Lucan and there had a cuppa to warm up but even still it was miserable and wet . The wind was for once with me but it was a damp cold and I was very cold and wet by the time i got home . Still against all that i did enjoy the cycle . To bring the total for the year to 4000KM I still have 123.60 to do yet . I find it unlikely that I will do that as there are only a few days left . It could be done but I am not that enthusiastic .
