Day 6: Winslow to Gallup, NM
New State....New Mexico! Also new timezone....one less hour tonight. What a day this was...but more for testing my resolve and determination to cross the USA....and I bet this won't be the last time I'm tested. It wasn't just the 132 miles we rode. First the flat tires....FIVE of them today. One a hotel flat...when I woke up my back tire was flat. Then only a mile into the morning ride another flat. And two more after that. And one 6 miles from the hotel with temps in the 30's and wind blowing in the 30's. I don't think I could have changed that last time myself Other tests today...temps in the 30's and 40's. Cross head winds in the 20's and 30's. Rain, sleet and a bit of snow. And then 3 big dogs charged after us but we escaped. Lots of flats and I'm not the only one. But today, I was the caboose....came in far last of all the 16 riders. The hot shower tonight was ESPECIALLY great!

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

GPX Track (.gpx)
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
