Ancrum to Balerno With Wrong Turnings

The old road at Ettrick Water is being built on. Had to turn back. Knew I was reasonably near Selkirk, and could find my was home from there. But not ideal. So switched my Garmin to OS map view, but realised my eyes can no longer read the writing. Luckily, at the point a mountain biker was passing, and she knew a better way to get back to my original route. Cheers, whoever you were! Maybe that was my good fortune in return for spotting a loose horse earlier on the ride, spotting some horse riders 30 seconds later, and jumping off road onto stony bridlepath to let them know. They knew the horse and the owner. Cycle itself was moderate - knackered from from 100% yesterday.

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail).
