Getting a ride in before more days of rain arrives tomorrow.
Technically both my MTBs were used in this activity. Letting Charlotte do a shakedown ride on my Stumpjumper while I rode my Epic EVO with flat pedals for the first time in a long time. We basically ride the same saddle height. π€£
I wanted to experiment with flat pedals on the Epic EVO to see if it would make a difference in my comfort level on switchback descents since they've been feeling good on my Stumpjumper. I wanted to rule variables out and drill down on what's working and not working on both bikes.
Generally, I am more comfortable on the Epic EVO than before as well as being more comfortable on the flat pedals ever since I figured out I could customize the pin heights. So maybe it was because of those reasons but I also felt way more comfortable on my weak side switchback descents this evening. They didn't feel weak at all.
And I think MTB is Charlotte's calling. She hadn't ridden MTB in many years but she did great.
The trails were also in great condition. Too bad it's going to start raining like crazy tomorrow.
Alpine Inn was also not too crazy. Tuesday's might be the go-to day.
