When you add all the bits onto this you get 70.70KM, not bad at all for a windy Feb day . It was a nice cycle as I started off earlier that I thought as it was a Bank Holiday , St Brigids, and there was no traffic in town when I was on my way , so I could get an earlier train . But when I got to Maynooth I could not find the journey I was supposed to go on which would have brought me to Clane and then down to Sallins, and then home . But I could not find the Route on the Hammerheasd. Annoying . So I decided just to go on the Canal , which I did. I could have gone on to Athlone but there were not that many trains coming from Athlone to Dublin . I might do that in the Summer OK but not in February , when there is a Bank Holiday. It was very windy but coming from the South or SW , but when coming back it was OK. It was a nice cycle , but frustrating in that I could not go the way I had intended to . Still I was out which I hope is the start of a lot of cycles for the year . Also at the rate of KMs I will definitly not do the 400KM I just about did last year.
