Merlin. Gorgeous weather. Cool at the start with slight WSW wind, which picked up over the whole ride. Mostly cloudy and bright. Started at Lone Grove FP in Kaneville, breakfast at 33 miles at the Butterfly Family Restaurant, which was excellent. First 6 miles or so of the return were tough with the wind picking up, but then we returned East on Perry Rd for the last 22 miles with a massive 15-18 mph tailwind. We split up into 4 groups for the last few miles, with me and Jibby finishing it off with a 18 mph 1.5 mile run at the finish. Excellent ride. Surprisingly a lot of climbs on what I consider to be a fairly flat ride. Good turnout too: Scott, Dave, Tony, Rick, Wally, Jim and a new rider, Kim Peterson, who did really well and fit in with the group. Stopped for a pop or three at Eddie Gaddel's Pub after the ride. A top 10 ride.
