Immediately, after breaking camp, we started uphill, and it goes on and on. The Himalaya here are steep and constantly falling down with the rain. There are many washouts on the road and many sections of the road are under repair, mostly hand repairs by groups of Nepali women.
Plenty of small dogs along the way to say hello to. We are getting used to riding on the left side of the road. We are also getting used to the horns that mean, "We are passing you." The fancier sounding the horn, the bigger the vehicle overtaking you from behind.
Towards the end of the day, we notice very healthy looking cows, patches of tomatoes, and orchards of oranges. We even see a solitary grapefruit tree. There are papayas. Plenty of poinsettias line the road. While there are tall mountains everywhere, it is quite hazy. Stupas and prayer flags line the road and bridges. Stopping near a washout where Nepali workers were moving stones, a woman came over and wouldn't let me leave until I drank some of her hot milk from the thermos and ate some of the snacks. The cow milk here is very buttery. I learn it is called butter tea. I don't get sick over the next few days, so it must. have been safe or I'm well adapted from many trips to India. We don't quite achieve our destination for the day and we catch a ride as night falls, about 18 km distance and 600 meters of elevation short of our nights goal.

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
