Got out at the strike of noon today. The weather was in the high 80's with the winds from the north. I did good time on the way out. I made it to the top of the descent in about 9-10 minutes. I did equally good tempo on the descent. I had good legs today, and was able to keep a good tempo from bottom to top. I gave one good kick over the loop monument and kept the tempo pretty high, with occasional breathers. My ailments consisted primarily of right hand numbness, more than usual. So, I had to stretch it out more often. I was developing a slight soreness in the back, which did not escalate too far. My concentration was good today, and I continued working on balance which is coming long nicely. Gear is working great. Other notes, an acquaintance of the neighbor (for lack of better term), was impressed by my bike and gear. He couldn't believe the stuff I was riding on :). I also saw a red tail hawk today near the top of the ascent. It was riding the updrafts by the cliff. I've added the average speed option on the second display of the GPS. Interesting how the numbers change. I did 20+ MPH to the bottom and about 15.3MPH from door to door.
