I had to make my own route because the EER left from the top of the lake and campsite. I used my new computer GPS for a route. I wasn't sure if it was a good route for reasons to long to explain here - so after awhile I switched to the phone's google bike routes. I later noticed on the EER website that the route was changed because of a permanent road closure to perhaps I missed that section by following the Google route. I arrived at a horse ranch campground outside of Lexington. (I didn't ever see the town) It was a couple miles off route on gravel road and camped in a horse field. Not the nicest surface to put up a tent but ok. The people at the site said I was there first cycling tourist to stop there. I ordered pizza and hd it delivered for dinner.
