Ride to TWO Blake's Restaurants and Ice Cream places in Manchester, NH on the NH Ice Cream Trail. Ride begins in Londonderry at the North School parking on the Londonderry Rail Trail. Soon riders will have a new crossing at Rt 28 with LED lights and everything! Now the crossing is at Sanborn Road. From there head to the NH Aviation Museum, and the rail trail in Manchester past Nutt Pond. Thence down to the mighty Merrimack on the trail of the Manchester Conservation Commission. Cross the river at the cow. The first Blake's on the West Side is just a hop from the end of the river bridge. Can you manage an Ice Cream on a bike? Bring it to the park at Bass Island Park on Second Street for a great place to rest and recharge. You'll need a rest to carry your bike up the stairs to the bridge again (or you could circle around a bit and find the "proper" approach to the trail). Take in the view and the Cow again riding down to the Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, home of the Fisher Cats. Ride through the heart of the Mill District, past the Mill Girl. UP hill into the Tree Streets brings you to the Currier Museum of Art and Oak Park. Then onto Blake's TWO near Livingston Park. Head back South/East towards Massabesic Lake, passing The Gate at Derryfield Park. Finish Up back at the North School by riding the final leg on the Londonderry Rail Trail. Some Urban riding, might be some truck traffic, but it's that bridge, and that Cow, that makes it happen.
