The Plan: /ridewithgps.com/trips/15472611 - plus some later sidetrips with Ken and Barbara
The day of the broken items: Broken strap on the gym bag with clothes to send to P'twn on the truck. (swapped with other bag (see #4).
Broken strap on the Ortlieb Saddle bag to hold it to bike rack. Found a bungee cord in the garage.
Broken seam in my after ride shorts (found at the hotel on Tuesday night). Wore the shorts.
Broken seam where strap attaches to other gym bag.
Almost called it a day on walking over the bridge. My right leg was very cantankerous with that climb.
Saw Ken and Barbara now and again in first 50 miles. But after the first sag, a nice group of 3 people went by in a very clean group - and they were all my size, so I asked if I could tag on - Carl ( Abrahamson) (Paris jersey), Jim (Yellow jersey), Lydia (blue jersey. The two guys did most of the pulling and Lydia often got me back on if they surged. I was often in hill-climbing heart rate, even on gentle rises or in the flats. We got pics at Rock Harbor and I told them not to wait for me if I got separated on the way to Wellfleet - and that's what happened.
I stopped for a Pepsi in town for about 15 minutes and latched onto Ken and Barbara when they came through and rode with them to the finish.
At Well Fleet (including the walk over the bridge, and getting dropped going into Wellfeet) it was 69.79 miles, 4:15 16.4 mph on the Garmin. I can't offload rides from the Garmin now. Causes some windows 10 stop error.
Overall GARMIN report 88.06 miles (started 1/2 mile earlier than phone) 5:28:38 ride time, 4000 ft.
Item Avg max min
Speed 16.1 34.2
Heart 117 139
Caden 78 127 ?
The phone statistics for speed are off. Something happened from mile 55-62.
Or perhaps the Garmin and Phone differed in how they recognized motion when walking over the bridge.

Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
