25 mile route in the vague shape of a running man in the Cheatham Wildlife Mgmt Area. This route is in a general east/west direction to explore some of the out-and-back trails off the main road. Took the offshoot roads as far you could go without hopping over a cable blocking the road or proceeding past a "no trespassing" sign, except Dunn Hollow road near the north end of the route. Turned around on the main road once I had covered 15 miles. The cable was lowered on Mound Creek road (mile 21.4) to clean some storm blowdown, which there was also a lot of down Dunn Hollow Road. I enjoyed Mound Creek road better than Halum road during my last trip here. It seems some of these roads exist primarily to service the utilities (gas pipeline, electric powerlines) running through the area. Please note the WMA boundary when planning routes here.
