This morning was tough as hell. To put it bluntly, I did not want to ride today.
I was stupid and went to bed late last night. On top of that I was so tired from the ride that I just vegged on the couch until bedtime. This meant I had to get up earlier than usual in order to shower before going to work. When the alarm went off at 4:20 a.m. I woke up and did not want to get out of bed. Words cannot express how much I wanted to reset the alarm for later, and go back to sleep. I don't know how, but my feet hit the floor and the day started.
Adding insult to injury, on the way in I got a flat near Camping World along LVB. So, on top of feeling like garbage now I had a flat to take care of as well. I managed to limp my way down to the paintball place to use their parking lot to effect repairs. I found quite possibly the two smallest pieces of glass/debris I've ever found to cause a flat on these Gatorskins. Seemed borderline ridiculous. Thankfully some 20 minutes later I was back on the road toward work.
Work went as well as can be expected when you're feeling like garbage for most of the day. It wasn't until after lunch that I started feeling anywhere close to normal. Thankfully, when it was time to call it a day I actually looked forward to riding home.
The ride home went well. I surprised myself with how happy I was considering how awful I felt in the morning. Also, I finally created a new Garmin profile setup for the "efforts" I do on the way home. I do like that once Garmin has notified you a couple times that you're below your target power it stops making audible alerts until after you've been over your target for a few minutes. It makes the recovery stretches a little more bearable.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
