Yet another perfect day for a ride, though got warm at the end. Went to the ride start wondering who all would be there, and saw nobody I usually ride with so resigned myself to riding alone. Then in rode Randall's group, 5 or so of them, so I asked if I could ride with them and he said fine. So I got to ride with some other folks, though not a lot of chit-chat because we averaged over 19 mph. Took a couple of pulls on the front, the legs felt pretty good, so felt fortunate to hook up with them. Sat to picnic with several of the group, and saw Claryse Nelson - passed her on the road, and when Randall and she exchanged greetings, so obviously they know each other (he says to me she's a C rider and I said I know, because...), so I told him the sound bite story of knowing her back in the early 70s - so he was blown away by that small-world story.
