Cant believe its all over ... blink and you missed it ... What am I going to do now 😒 Tour Stats ..... Distance = 1117 miles Elevation = 76,800 feet Time Riding = 110 hrs 36 mins A routine 35 mile ride along the Algarve today in windy, showery weather. It was cold too at 9am - I waitedcand picked a gap in the rain at 9:30 and fought my way into the wind and out of town. But soon it calmed and I was away and in no time in Portimao, which I must say has been renovated beautifully by the bridges, what used to be derelict, scruffy looking buildings were now trendy restaurants on a new promenade - I do like also that the old cafes were still there untouched. As it happens I timed it perfectly as a huge black cloud came over and I retreated to one of those cafes for 40 minutes whilst half an inch of rain came down. The roads were now really slippy, especially on those white pavings which I took really carefully and managed to stay upright. I diverted one last time past Ferragudo which is a personal favourite, then past Gramacho and Pinta golf courses before Lagoa and the pretty village of Fontes de Matosa. Suddenly I was on the coast flashing past Salgados and Gale before arriving in town a few minutes ahead of the next shower . .. Perfect !
