Today’s weather continues to be warm. I wasn’t sure what ride I was going to put in. I knew I wanted to go to WS. But after that, I wasn’t sure. Going up OTR was slave work. I was put into the exhaustion heat oven in not time. I had to put it into modest tempo to the summit. After that, I was looking forward to Highline. I was imagining the tailwind I was going to have on the outbound. The wind was nearly perfect to the east. When I reached WS, I spared no time to turn around. I faced right into the headwind. I took a few minutes to get my tempo going. Fortunately, the wind was steady, and not so strong. Before I knew it, I was on the last few kickers. At that point, I knew I had it in me to go to Banducci Summit. The Banducci wall was the usual out of the saddle 90% of the way. Putting me to my max. Then the remainder. I was able to hold no less than moderate tempo. Slowing down where necessary. I made it to the summit and assessed my situation. I had it in me to do the Tour de Teh. (R) route. I had enough provisions. So that’s what I did. I had fun on the descent. Practicing my tuck. Then the trek through the farm-lands. That went fast. The last climb hurt a bit, but I just kept the tempo within my limits. At this point, I was running low on provisions. Fortunately, the remainder of the ride was downhill. I made it back with about one or two gulps of water and cytomax left. Concentration was good today. The first ride without company since they arrived. Ailments consisted of right hand numbness. Some quad and hip soreness. I was stretching frequently. The ailments never escalated. Balance and form was lacking on the way out to WS. It got better as the ride progressed. Gear is working well. This is the first time I put the camera into time-lapse mode.
