Obviously, I can no longer perform simple math functions. Today's pedal was intended to be #3 of the intended 5 x 35-miler series (titled after Foo Fighter albums), so I thought I mapped correctly and figured that Shamel Park-Cambria to Ragged Point was upwards of 17-18 miles one-way, but NOOOOOoooo, it's 22, I guess. Well, there you go. And another funny thing about this ride was that I showed up to do it on Monday, but forgot vital gear at home, so just re-loaded up my bike and headed for breakfast instead. Today, then, was it's make-up. And I might have ended up utilizing a better day, weather-wise: overcast and coolish north, cobalt blue skies inland and turquoise breakers out to sea. Bestowed a little grateful Buddha Blessing on those elephant seals that were emerging out of the water...
