From P5. Maybe the last ski of the season. Snow is melting fast. We won't be skiing at easter this year. Still possible to ski the entire loop without taking skis off, except for end of #32 but then you have to cross Meech Lake Road anyway and the road crossing at P8. otherwise, icy to soft slush. Still 90% coverage with lots of bare pavement but possible to ski at the edge of the road to get by. Hard enough and enough depth that skis were not punching through or pole tips hitting pavement (might be the case later in the day) conditions for skate poor to fair most of the way with some good sections. Thickest snow at halfway point south of Lac Bourgeois. Glad i did it clockwise, so as not to be coming down Blacks, which was very icy. Classic tracks non-existent, except P10-T-jcn which looks quite good (a bit soft for skate). P8-P8 fair for skate. Lunch at Les Saisons (spotted Lise). Not many on the trails, maybe saw 15 skaters, 10 classic skiers and 1 fat biker...
