Hike Green Gardens Trail

Long afternoon hike with Helen, Lisa, Noel, Will, and Katie. A hike we wanted to do 20 years ago, but didn't have time for. Quite a long drive there past the table lands trailhead. Parking is in a desolate open area. Trail has been widened and packed with stone dust, mych to Katies disgust. Trail uphill for a bit, then thru tuckamore, then down hill for several km past a medium size waterfall, then the green gardens which are a level grassy area where the locals graze sheep. Top of a cliff with steep stairs down to the beach (tide out), but we didn't go down to see the sea cave. Went a bit further up the trail but beyond is closed (not mentioned in Alltrails). Major slog back up the hills.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
