Early start for tough day. 8hrs paddling and portaging. 4 portages and 8 beaver dams (about half where we had to get out and half where we had to lift the two big packs out). P90 short and scenic with small chute, but one boat at a time at takeout. Windy but lovely paddling with dozens of bright wildflowers (cardinal, pickerel weed, candy stripe "bindweed" etc.). Just missed an otter, saw a few ducks, couple of snapping turtles. P55 rocky takeout for one boat and on left as per K. Callan not right as per map. Longer than 55m in low water, perhaps 100m. P45 unmemoranle. Paddling into shoal lake very shallow and swampy very buggy. Exhausting under blazing hot sun. Late long lunch on #33 at Shoal Lake. Nearly stopped there due to tiredness but pushed on to Bass Lake. P810 seemed longer. Short but rocky section to start then numerous downed trees to be stepped over or detoured around. Seems low maintenance. Wonder if the park office should be informed. Extrenely tired at the end of this. Short paddle with blessed breeze to campsite #39 thankfully for two nights. Note: GPS left on canoe, so didn't record double pass of portages, which would bring the total distance to 20.88 km.
