Beat last year's time by 22 mins (although a slightly shorter distance)! Although conditions were a bit rough for all three legs, not too cold, no falls, and no screw ups at transitions. Beat Kory (01:18:52.4), but beaten by Chris McN (01:05:39.4) and Dan Markel again (01:12:13.9). Dave McMahon overall winner (00:51:50.2). Skate leg was 3 loops of Dows Lake due to poor ice conditions on the usual section of the canal. Apparently the real reason they are using Mooney's Bay for the ski instead of the Arboretum is that the groomer has sold the trailer that is needed to get the grooming machine onto the Arboretum, and there is no-one else that can do it. Although the downside is that there are 2 transitions of footwear and Rick needs to pay the City for a day pass for each participant...
