Set off at 7.15am - air quite chilly, 8-9°C. Long gentle hills and rolling countryside for first 70km or so. Heading inland. No further wind turbines.
In a graveyard just out of Çorlu, men mostly clad in black mufti gather round a newly-dug grave.
Riding through arable farmland the whole ride - big fields, machine-cultivated, planted to grain crops (about 6 inches to a foot tall) looking a fine healthy green, or ploughed and ready for planting. Quite often, a massive warehouse or factory building dotted in the farmland. Not lovely countryside - but green and pleasant enough.
Dogs everywhere; most ignored me. A few not - and a couple chased me with intent, managing to run at over 20kph whilst still snarling & barking. I accelerated (briefly) to 30 kph and left them behind . . . .
Houses still mostly recently built - but a few older tiled-roof buildings here & there.
Temperature settled in the mid 20°Cs by about 11am.
