Trek Farley 9.6. Sunny & bright, mostly a cloudless sky, very warm - mid to high 70's with low humidity, moderate NW winds @ 8-10 mph, just a gorgeous Spring day, warmest yet this year. Lots of other riders out, limestone trails were dry and dusty. I took the Great Western from the trailhead at LeRoy Oakes out to the old end @ IL-64 and Old State Rd. I stayed on the road coming back for a bit and jumped back on the trail at Lovell Rd. Definitely my fastest ride yet on the Farley in terms of average speed. Riding with light summer kit and a hydration backpack, plus warmer air made quite the difference in speed. I figured out I either cracked or bruised a rib on my right side riding at Raceway Woods the other day, so while I won't be doing any singletrack for a while, it doesn't bother me to ride flat trails or roads. I'll try a road ride out tomorrow while the weather holds, as it's supposed to rain tomorrow evening and later in the week.
