Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I tried to get my cycling camera working again after a couple of years of non-use. I tried to mount it by wrapping the small gorrillapod around my head bracket and tube. It didn't stay in place so I just removed it and will do a little experimentation before I try to use it again.
I wanted to see how this ride stacks up to what it was a the last time I rode. I felt sluggish all the way out to the end of Speedway. I was thinking I was really dragging or there was something wrong with the trike. However, about 3/4 the way out, I noticed that I felt a strong wind blowing against both my arms. There was certainly a good headwind. The Googled weather says 8 mph. I would guess at least and probably gusting more.
The road was still quite rough. That hasn't changed. It was better coming back as I was losing elevation. With all the rollers and such, I would hesitate to call it downhill, though there are short stretches downhill followed by short stretches uphill. Still, it is a loss of 318 ft over the 5 miles.
The trike seemed squirly, with very quick response to steering. Also, I just had the bike in the shop and paid for a thorough look over and major tune-up, but the shifting had a problem. I can upshift the freewheel just fine, but the downshifting doesn't work well. I have to overshift to the point of starting to shift the second gear - or actually shifting to the second gear then come back. I am not very pleased with this. The more experience I get with having the bike shop tune my shifting and brakes, the more I think I need to take a class on this and become very proficient at it so I can do it myself. This will save me money, but more importantly, I will get it right and save myself frustration.
Yet, I was on a ride, so it was good and enjoyable notwithstanding the little things noticed. They didn't really bother me much, I just noted the work/adjustments needed.
