garmin was paused until i got north of the city, this is a close approximation of the route i took Learning curve with the strava: didn't start recording the ride until already out of the city. Made a point to ride through the city, up Park Ave through the tunnel and over the viaduct etc. I guess because of the U.N. General Assembly everything was just totally fucked up all over midtown. There was even a van that looked like it exploded just casually parked on Madison and 60th. My memory from working on these days is people just like avoid the area for the most part and there's lanes blocked off for emergency vehicles that I'd just ride - clear passage. This time everything was all jammed up. Anyway wound up taking 3rd Ave because 3rd Ave is low key the express.. zigzag zapped up to Edgemont, Harlem River Drive, 10th Ave, Broadway to Van Cortland Park
