Things started out pretty fast and were discussed at the first rest stop, 20 minutes in, at 3 miles, at the top of a long-ish climb. All agreed it was fast. Annnnd there really wasn't any slowing. .... until more climbs. Those monsters at 6 and 7 certainly slowed SOME of us, not to mention the one from 9 to 9.8 ... those who are fast-twitch by nature were not fast and do some suffering after all the fast-twitchiness is used up.... Lovely day, well above normal warmth for April, and sunny, and we'lllll take it! Body wasn't feeling as zippy as expected after two days of no riding, with tired legs at 12.2 that caused us to decide not to go any farther into Black Hill park...
